Baseball Recap: Brito Comes Up Short

Brito lost to Westminster Christian back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers lost 16-6 to the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since February 15, 2025.

Brito got a massive performance out of Diego Perez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Raivon Pinder was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Brito has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Westminster Christian, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brito will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varela at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Westminster Christian, they will challenge King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
