Softball Recap: The Woodlands Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cleveland last Tuesday, The Woodlands came back down to earth. The Highlanders came up short against the College Park Cavaliers on Friday, falling 20-7. The Highlanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won 9-2.

The Woodlands has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for College Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. The Woodlands is set to challenge their familiar foe New Caney at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, College Park will face off against rival Cleveland at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
