Volleyball Recap: Grove City Christian Wins Going Away Against Miller

Grove City Christian barely beat Miller the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons on Saturday. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season so far.

While Grove City Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-17.

Kinsey Hovance paced Grove City Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Hovance got some help from Lydia Lee and her 27 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Grove City Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Miller, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grove City Christian will face off against rival Harvest Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Miller is set to take on their familiar foe Fairfield Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
