Baseball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson fell victim to Clements and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wilson dropped their record down to 9-18 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Clements, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will head out to square off against Red Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Clements, they will head out on the road to challenge Randolph School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
