Lenoir City and Walker Valley are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lenoir City has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with six straight defeats, while Walker Valley will come in with five straight victories.

Lenoir City's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Rhea County last Friday. They were beaten by the Golden Eagles 46-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Walker Valley had just enough and edged out East Hamilton 40-37 last Friday.

Walker Valley's win came from a few key players Lenoir City will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sawyer Boyd, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two scores. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 51 yards. Cason Cunningham was another key player, rushing for 153 yards and one TD.

Walker Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Lenoir City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Lenoir City didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Walker Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory.
