Soccer Game Preview: Adairsville vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe

The Adairsville Tigers will head out to square off against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Adairsville and four for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Adairsville fell 3-1 to Ringgold. That's two games in a row now that Adairsville has lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's offense. They came up short against Fannin County last Tuesday, falling 10-0. Ernes Keserovic was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Adairsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything went Adairsville's way against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Adairsville made off with a 5-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
