Baseball Recap: Schenectady Takes a Loss

Schenectady was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Hoosic Valley Hawks.

Schenectady saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Verett, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. Ian Trotter also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Schenectady's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hoosic Valley, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schenectady will host Albany at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hoosic Valley, they will be playing at home against Saratoga Central Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
