While Walled Lake Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Groves Falcons on Friday, sneaking past 6-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 on Friday.

Walled Lake Central got a great performance from Katelynn Cole as she struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Walled Lake Central let Jessica Fick and Taylor Combs run wild. Fick went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Combs went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
