While Clark's win against Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Vikings 3-2. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings on Tuesday, too.

Clark wouldn't go down easily and took Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, 15-12.

Leading Clark to victory were Jodie Bengson and Jordyn Vincent. Bengson had seven aces, while Vincent had six kills and two blocks. Those seven aces gave Bengson a new career-high.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Valley, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Clark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Rancho on the 2nd. As for Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Del Sol on the 27th.
