Baseball Recap: Towson Comes Up Short

If Towson was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Atholton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals fell just short of the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.

Towson's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Archbishop Spalding, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-2.

While Towson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
