Basketball Recap: Fabens Comes Up Short

Fabens lost against San Elizario back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fabens Wildcats took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Elizario Eagles. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Fabens still got an impressive performance from Christine Lechuga, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Lechuga a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Quinonez, who scored ten points.

Fabens' defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for San Elizario, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Clint the next time they take the court. Fabens will head out to face Clint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while San Elizario will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
