Mount Anthony has gone a perfect 10-0 against Burr & Burton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Mount Anthony is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Bellows Falls, who was ranked 12th at the time (Mount Anthony was ranked second). The Patriots' pitchers stepped up to hand the Terriers a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Patriots' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burr & Burton). They blew past Hartford 18-6 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Mount Anthony pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Burr & Burton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Mount Anthony took their victory against Burr & Burton in their previous matchup back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
