Volleyball Recap: Queen Creek Comes Up Short

Queen Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Ridge Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Jaguars since April 7, 2022.

Queen Creek took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-23.

Jaxon Wold paced Queen Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Wold were helped by Orlando Petrie and Dylan Felix, who contributed seven assists each. Finally, Rogun Padilla and Hayden Marks kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Queen Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Desert Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Queen Creek will take on Higley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Ridge, they will face off against Gilbert at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
