Basketball Game Preview: Dufur Rangers vs. Perrydale Pirates + How To Watch

Dufur and Perrydale are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Rangers will head out to face off against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Dufur comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Thursday, Dufur came up short against Mannahouse Christian Academy and fell 48-41.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Hunter Woods, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Peterson, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Perrydale had to suffer through a 63-28 loss at the hands of Country Christian. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Cougars are ranked 12th).

Dufur's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Perrydale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Dufur came out on top in a nail-biter against Perrydale when the teams last played back in December of 2022, sneaking past 38-35. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
