Basketball Recap: North Putnam Takes a Loss

North Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sullivan Golden Arrows. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sullivan found their leader in sophomore Paul Ridgway, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for Ridgway. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bock, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sullivan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

When North Putnam and Sullivan next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. North Putnam will try to stop Northview's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Sullivan will try to stop Greencastle's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
