Volleyball Recap: Westview Knights vs. Peoria Panthers
If Peoria wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westview, they should've done a better job of containing Bianca Chavarria. Everything went the Westview Knights' way against the Peoria Panthers on Wednesday as the Westview Knights made off with a 3-0 win thanks in part to Chavarria, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high.
Westview never let Peoria on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-19.
Chloe Cain paced Westview's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cain really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Chavarria and
Ayla-Grace Morris kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Westview's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-10. As for Peoria, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
