Volleyball Game Preview: Monrovia Bulldogs vs. Ben Davis Giants

The Monrovia Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Ben Davis Giants at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Monrovia made easy work of Beech Grove and carried off a 3-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Monrovia not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Beech Grove between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Ben Davis beat Greenwood 3-1 on Monday.

Ben Davis had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-15.

Monrovia's record is now 7-2. As for Ben Davis, their record now sits at 3-1.

Monrovia suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Ben Davis when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
