Volleyball Recap: Schurr Comes Up Short

If Schurr was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Montebello on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Flintridge Prep Wolves on Saturday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Flintridge Prep was led to victory by Ashlyn Nam and Ally Perez. Nam had 22 assists and two aces, while Perez had six digs. Nam is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Schurr's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Flintridge Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Schurr wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Grant on the 27th. As for Flintridge Prep, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Larchmont Charter on the 27th.
