Basketball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Chester lost against Spurger back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chester Yellowjackets lost 63-41 to the Spurger Pirates. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chester's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Spurger, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will venture away from home to challenge Groveton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chester is facing Groveton at the right time seeing as Groveton is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Spurger, they will head out on the road to square off against Kennard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kennard will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Spurger surely won't give up without a fight.
