Baseball Game Preview: Grand Rapids Thunderhawks vs. Brainerd Warriors

The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks will face off against the Brainerd Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grand Rapids will be strutting in after a victory while Brainerd will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Grand Rapids turned things around against Hermantown on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 4-1.

Meanwhile, Brainerd unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Denfeld by a score of 4-3.

Griff Bartholomous was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Grand Rapids' win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Brainerd, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Grand Rapids came out on top in a nail-biter against Brainerd when the teams last played back in May of 2016, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Thunderhawks repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
