Basketball Recap: Lytle Gets the Win

John F. Kennedy came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Lytle, but Seth Pierce wouldn't allow it. The Pirates managed an 84-80 win over the Rockets on Tuesday for which the team can thank Pierce, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Another player making a difference was Darrius Garcia, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. He also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

John F. Kennedy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacen Carrera, who earned nine points. Jerry Jordan JJ Aragon was another key player, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and eight boards.

The victory got Lytle back to even at 2-2. As for John F. Kennedy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lytle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-56 win against Burbank on the 4th. As for John F. Kennedy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-47 defeat against London on the 4th.
