Football Game Preview: Homewood Patriots vs. James Clemens Jets + How To Watch

The Homewood Patriots will head out to take on the James Clemens Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Homewood didn't have too much trouble with Minor as they won 31-14. The Patriots pushed the score to 31-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Kaleb Carson was his usual excellent self, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 61 yards on only six carries. Those 283 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tomon Felton, who picked up 121 receiving yards and one score.

Homewood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Minor to a completion percentage of just 48.1%. The team can thank Tate Burdeshaw for the heroic effort on defense: he. That defensive display was nothing new: Homewood has limited their opponent to a lower and lower completion percentage in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, while James Clemens put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Albertville. The Jets blew past the Aggies, posting a 45-0 victory. The matchup marked the Jets' most dominant win of the season.

Homewood better keep an eye on Christian Richey. He was instrumental in James Clemens' win, rushing for 62 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. Jai-Dyn Delbridge helped out on the ground, rushing for 96 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Homewood's record now sits at 8-1. As for James Clemens, their record is now 6-3.

Homewood strolled past James Clemens when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 24-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
