Baseball Game Preview: Umatilla Bulldogs vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

For the second straight game, Umatilla will face off against Nature Coast Tech. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Umatilla's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four games, but Tuesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Umatilla is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Nature Coast Tech 2-1.

Jace Carlson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Umatilla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Ross, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Tate Bagwell was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Umatilla's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Nature Coast Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9.
