Football Recap: Eau Claire North Comes Up Short

Eau Claire North came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the D.C. Everest Evergreens, falling 39-7. The game marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Corbin Enzenroth had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 133 yards and three scores on only 15 carries for D.C. Everest. Enzenroth is becoming a predictor of the Evergreens' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Bangtson, who gained 107 total yards and a touchdown.

Eau Claire North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for D.C. Everest, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Eau Claire North will challenge Stevens Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for D.C. Everest, they will welcome Chippewa Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
