Basketball Game Preview: University School of Jackson Bruins vs. Trinity Christian Academy Lions

University School of Jackson is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Fayette Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that University School of Jackson blew Fayette Academy out of the water with a 60-11 final score. The victory was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on six straight.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 49.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vikings 63-22. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Vikings are ranked 352nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University School of Jackson pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for University School of Jackson against Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 57-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for University School of Jackson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
