Basketball Game Preview: Boyd Anderson Cobras vs. South Broward Bulldogs

The Boyd Anderson Cobras will take on the South Broward Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Boyd Anderson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season.

Boyd Anderson took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 79-33 victory over Coconut Creek. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boyd Anderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Terrence Walker, who went 10 of 12 on his way to 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarcus Deroche, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 17 points and five steals.

Boyd Anderson was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 57 points the game before, South Broward was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They took a blow against Coral Springs, falling 66-22. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Colts are ranked 62nd).

Boyd Anderson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for South Broward, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Boyd Anderson strolled past South Broward in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 66-51. Does Boyd Anderson have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Broward turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
