Basketball Recap: Wheatland Piles Up the Points Against Fair Play

Wheatland entered their tilt with Fair Play on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 76-25 win over the Fair Play Hornets. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Wheatland pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points over those games. As for Fair Play, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-16-1 record this season.

Coming up, Wheatland will take on Walnut Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fair Play, they will square off against Macks Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
