Basketball Game Preview: Linville Hill Warriors vs. Coventry Christian

Linville Hill is 6-1 against Coventry Christian since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Linville Hill Warriors will jump right back in to play Coventry Christian at 8:30 p.m. Linville Hill will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Linville Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against High Point Baptist Academy by a score of 59-51. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Eagles are ranked 298th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Giovanni Sejuste continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Tibbins, who posted nine points.

Dayspring Christian Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Coventry Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 41-36 W over the Warriors. The 41-point effort marked Coventry Christian's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Linville Hill's victory was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points over those games. As for Coventry Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-6.

Everything came up roses for Linville Hill against Coventry Christian in their previous matchup last Monday, as the team secured an 85-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Linville Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
