Baseball Game Preview: Jasper Wildcats vs. Silver Creek Dragons

Jasper is on a 12-game streak of home wins, while Silver Creek is on an 11-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wildcats will welcome the Dragons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jasper's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against South Spencer as they made off with a 7-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek got the win against Jeffersonville on Friday by a conclusive 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Dragons have posted against the Red Devils since May 16, 2018.

Silver Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Jasper, their win bumped their record up to 20-6.
