Quincy and Alleman are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Blue Devils will welcome the Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Quincy sitting on three straight wins and Alleman on four.
Quincy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Seymour on Saturday. The Blue Devils never let the Indians get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory.

Chase Saalborn
Chase Saalborn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Quincy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-13 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Drake Gibson, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cameron Lawson, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Quincy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Alleman made easy work of Fulton on Friday and carried off an 8-0 win.
Alleman also got a great performance from CJ Carruthers as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Cael Kuster was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Will Bowers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Alleman pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Quincy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Quincy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Alleman struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Quincy beat Alleman 10-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
