Preview: Central Heights Vikings vs. Lyndon Tigers

Central Heights has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will square off against the Lyndon Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Central Heights comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.

Last Friday, Central Heights lost to West Franklin at home by a decisive 38-20 margin.

Central Heights' defeat came about despite a quality game from Melaney Chrisjohn, who scored 2 points along with 7 steals. Chrisjohn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. Macy Cubit was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Meanwhile, Lyndon ended up a good deal behind Burlingame on Friday and lost 38-22. Lyndon has not had much luck with Burlingame recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Central Heights has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 0-4 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.5 points per game. As for Lyndon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Things could have been worse for Central Heights, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-47 loss to Lyndon when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Central Heights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
