Volleyball Recap: Clyde Comes Up Short

Clyde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Perkins Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Fliers have suffered against the Pirates since September 1, 2022.

Clyde was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-23.

Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Perkins, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Clyde and Perkins could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Fliers (ranked 501st) will meet Bellevue (ranked 186th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Perkins will challenge Columbian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (329 vs. 134).
