Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Blue Cougars vs. Gardiner Tigers

Mt. Blue is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Messalonskee just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 51-39 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gardiner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over Nokomis on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory got Gardiner back to even at 8-8. As for Mt. Blue, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Mt. Blue didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Gardiner when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win. Will Mt. Blue repeat their success, or does Gardiner have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
