Basketball Game Preview: Lamar County Bulldogs vs. Belgreen Bulldogs

The Lamar County Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Belgreen Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lamar County heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Monday. They were beaten by Sulligent 57-26. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 54th).

Meanwhile, Belgreen won against Covenant Christian on Monday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Belgreen strolled past Covenant Christian with points to spare, taking the game 53-36. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 17 points.

Lamar County's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Belgreen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 24-8 record this season.
