Basketball Recap: Westampton Tech Panthers vs. Cherry Hill East Cougars
The Westampton Tech Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They fell to Cherry Hill East 55-49. If Westampton Tech was looking for revenge after losing 53-49 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Alexander Jeanty and Daelan Dickerson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Jeanty scored 21 points along with two blocks, while Dickerson scored 16 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jeanty has scored all season.
Westampton Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Cherry Hill East, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westampton Tech will take on the at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherry Hill East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Lindenwold will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Cougars are ranked 184th).
