Football Recap: Artesia Finds Home Field Redemption Against Estancia + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Artesia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Estancia Eagles on Friday. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 30-21 loss the last time these two teams met.

Artesia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jorge Velazquez and Elijah Johnson.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeff Brown, who rushed for 140 yards on only 15 carries. Brown's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. Brandon Bettinghausen also helped with two scores in total.

The win got Artesia back to even at 3-3. As for Estancia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Artesia will face off against Rowland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers' defense better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 32.6 points per game this season. As for Estancia, they will square off against Rancho Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
