Baseball Game Preview: Issaquah Eagles vs. Liberty Patriots

The Issaquah Eagles will square off against the Liberty Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Liberty is headed out to face a Eagles squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Issaquah fell just short of Garfield by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 16, 2017, but that streak is no more.

Liberty not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024. Everything went their way against Sultan as Liberty made off with a 15-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Parker Heeter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Heeter was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Ryan Boehm was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Connor Mayer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Issaquah suffered a grim 13-4 defeat to Liberty in their previous meeting back in June of 2021. Can Issaquah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
