Basketball Recap: Lakeside Extends Winning Streak to Three

A well-balanced attack led Lakeside over Rock Hills in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Lakeside Knights took down the Rock Hills Grizzlies 44-29. The victory was just business as usual for the Knights, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Lakeside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Remus, who posted seven points along with 18 boards and three steals. Those 18 boards gave Remus a new career-high. Eli Schmitt was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight steals.

Eli Whelchel and Cooper McDill certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Whelchel put up eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while McDill had 14 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Lakeside pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Rock Hills, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-17 win against Thunder Ridge on the 14th. As for Rock Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-34 victory against Stockton on the 14th.
