While losing is never fun, Chapel Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Creekside is ranked 73rd).
Chapel Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emahni Chambliss, who scored 19 points along with two steals, and Bryale Thomas who scored six points along with five rebounds. That was a full 57.6% of Chapel Hill's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Creekside found their leader in underclassman C?india Dennis, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Skye Cleveland was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Chapel Hill's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Creekside, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Chapel Hill will square off against Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chapel Hill is facing Banneker at the right time seeing as Banneker is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Creekside, they will take on Lithia Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Creekside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
