Football Game Preview: White Knoll Timberwolves vs. River Bluff Gators

White Knoll is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the River Bluff Gators at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

River Bluff will be up against a hot White Knoll squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Timberwolves took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 40-0 win over Fort Dorchester. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Timberwolves had established a 26-point advantage.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask River Bluff). They blew past Cheraw 67-19 last Friday. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

White Knoll better keep an eye on Hayden Myers. He was instrumental in River Bluff's win, rushing for 219 yards and one score while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Those 219 rushing yards gave Myers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Carter, who picked up 125 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

White Knoll's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for River Bluff, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

White Knoll couldn't quite finish off River Bluff in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 24-21. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Myers, who rushed for 187 yards and one touchdown.
