Eustis had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 win over the Umatilla Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 336th).

Eustis' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Umatilla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Eustis and Umatilla will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Panthers see the court they'll take on Northwestern at 3:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Umatilla, their break will end when they face North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
