Sandusky had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 9-13 to make it four. They fell just short of the Columbian Tornadoes by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tornadoes this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-10 loss last Friday.

Maijon Wiley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Akiyla Jones, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Columbian, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-14. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

On Columbian's side, they got a massive performance out of Corinne Plott, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave Plott a new career-high. Olyvia Steinmetz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Sandusky has already played their next game, a 14-3 loss against Western Reserve on the 16th. As for Columbian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-8 defeat against Seneca East on the 20th.
