Preview: Cedarville vs. Greenland
On Friday Greenland will take on Cedarville at 7:00 PM. Greenland strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 32 points per game.
Things haven't been easy for Greenland, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. Last Friday, they were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 27-33 to Lamar. Senior Levi Vaughn and junior Zaylen Bryant were two go-getters for Greenland despite the loss. The former passed for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns, while the latter picked up 51 yards on the ground and caught passes for 86 yards. Vaughn has been a consistent playmaker for Greenland as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Cedarville put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on West Fork to the tune of 56-0. The rankings were on Cedarville's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Cedarville's victory lifted them to 3-4 while Greenland's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. In Cedarville's win, senior Isaiah Lawson and senior Tate Larue. We'll see if Greenland have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
