Basketball Recap: Boonton Bombers vs. Parsippany Redhawks

Boonton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parsippany Redhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-44 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parsippany to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Niedermaier, who went 7-for-15 en route to 19 points and seven boards. Niedermaier's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Arthur Smith, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Boonton's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Parsippany, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Boonton will challenge Kinnelon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parsippany, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Whippany Park at 7:00 p.m.
