Soccer Recap: Chanute Comes Up Short

If Chanute was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Fort Scott last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Comets fell just short of the Pittsburg Dragons by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Chanute couldn't quite close it out.

Chanute now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Pittsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chanute will square off against rival Independence on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pittsburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Parsons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
