Baseball Game Preview: Mitchell Marauders vs. Sand Creek Scorpions

Mitchell is 0-5 against Sand Creek since March of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Marauders will take on the Scorpions at 2:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Mitchell fell victim to Elizabeth and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 17-0. The Marauders just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Sand Creek lost 14-1 to Falcon on Friday. The Scorpions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sand Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avyn Walter, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Mitchell suffered a grim 26-1 defeat to Sand Creek when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
