Baseball Recap: Fayetteville's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Fayetteville and Florala squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Fayetteville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Connor Crumpton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Fayetteville moved to 24-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Florala, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

While Fayetteville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
