Basketball Recap: North Moore Takes a Loss

North Moore lost against Seaforth back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Moore Mustangs were dealt a 78-42 defeat at the hands of the Seaforth Hawks. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why North Moore lost, don't look at Colby Pennington. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Pennington also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Brandon Powell was another key player, putting up six points.

North Moore's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Seaforth, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Moore will face off against Graham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Moore is facing Graham at the right time seeing as Graham is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Seaforth, they will square off against Southeast Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
