Basketball Game Preview: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Crawfordsville Athenians

The Cloverdale Clovers will face off against the Crawfordsville Athenians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cloverdale will be strutting in after a win while Crawfordsville will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Cloverdale didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Vigo, but they still walked away with a 34-28 victory.

Meanwhile, Crawfordsville ended up a good deal behind Western Boone on Tuesday and lost 53-36. The loss continues a trend for the Athenians in their matchups with the Stars: they've now lost eight in a row.

Defeat or not, Crawfordsville got some senior leadership from Celeste Moore and Litzy Huesca. Moore posted nine points, while Huesca had eight points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in points.

Cloverdale's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
