Basketball Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

Piedmont Academy lost against Edmund Burke Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Piedmont Academy Cougars fell 54-42 to the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Blake Reddick, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and five steals for Edmund Burke Academy. Reddick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Carey, who put up ten points and six rebounds.

Piedmont Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Edmund Burke Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Piedmont Academy will welcome Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central Fellowship Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Edmund Burke Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
